Who we are

ConstructTrackPro ("we", "us", "our") is a digital product company that builds and operates free web applications and tools, plus the ConstructTrackPro app. Our products include:

• ConstructTrackPro app (constructtrack-pro.web.app, and the iOS/Android apps) — construction site safety, compliance, and invoicing software used by construction companies and their teams
• TariffMadeEasy (tariffmadeeasy.com) — a household tariff cost calculator
• UK Landlord Wizard (uklandlordwizard.com) — UK landlord compliance guidance
• This parent website and any future tools we publish

This Privacy Policy applies to all websites, tools and apps operated by ConstructTrackPro. Our contact email is support@constructtrackpro.com.

What we collect

We collect two categories of information through our free web tools and calculators (TariffMadeEasy, UK Landlord Wizard, and the other calculators linked from our homepage):

Information you provide voluntarily

• Your email address, if you subscribe to updates or contact us
• Any information you type into our calculators or tools — this is processed in your browser and is not stored on our servers unless stated otherwise

Information collected automatically

• Your IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
• Browser type, operating system, and device type
• Pages visited, time on site, and referring URL
• Cookies placed by Google AdSense and any analytics tools we use (see Cookies section below)

We do not collect payment card details or government identification numbers through these free web tools and calculators. The ConstructTrackPro app is different, because it's account-based software your employer sets up for you — see the next section for exactly what it collects.

ConstructTrackPro app — what it collects

This section covers the ConstructTrackPro app specifically (web, iOS and Android). If you use the app, your employer creates an account for you and you use it to sign in and out of sites, submit compliance documents, and — depending on your role — manage your team, incidents, and invoices. This section describes what the app collects and why; where it differs from the general "What we collect" section above, this section applies.

Account and profile information

• Your name, username, email address, mobile number, and company name
• Your role within the app (e.g. Worker, Cleaner, Supervisor, Admin, HR, Driver)
• Your profile photo, if you add one

Compliance and verification documents

• Photo ID and White Card, if your employer requires them
• Licences and certificates you upload — for example EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space, and First Aid
• Emergency contact name and phone number

Location

• Your location is recorded at the moment you sign in or sign out of a site
• Where your employer has enabled it, the app monitors your device's location in the background while you're signed in to a site, so it can automatically sign you out once you move roughly 300 metres away (a geofence). This is used only to keep site attendance records accurate — we do not track or share your location for any other purpose, and background location access can be turned off in your device settings, though this will disable automatic sign-out.

Photo when someone else signs you in

• If a supervisor or admin signs you in to a site on your behalf (for example because you don't have your phone with you), the app asks them for a reason and to take a photo of you at that moment, using the phone's camera. The photo cannot be chosen from their photo library.
• We store that photo together with the time, the site, the reason, who signed you in, and where their phone was (not yours). This lets your employer check the sign-in was genuine, for example by comparing the photo with the photo ID you gave them.
• We do not use facial recognition and do not use these photos for anything else. They are not shared with other companies.
• Where your employer has set it up, an email to the addresses it chooses includes a link to the photo.
• The photo is deleted automatically 90 days after it is taken. The record of the sign-in stays.

Site activity

• Sign-in and sign-out timestamps, and which site they relate to
• Incident and hazard reports you submit
• Shift logs and, for drivers, trip logs
• In-app notifications sent to you, and whether you've read them

Invoices, quotes and payments

• Quote, invoice, or variation PDFs you submit for work you've done, and the amounts and dates on them
• The approval history of each invoice — who approved or declined it, and when
• Payment requests, due dates, and payment/receipt records once an invoice is paid

Push notifications

• A device token used to deliver push notifications to your phone, if you allow notifications

Who can see it

Data inside the ConstructTrackPro app is only visible to people within your own company's account. Workers and Cleaners see their own records; Supervisors see records for the sites they're assigned to; Admins and HR can see company-wide records, including invoices and payments, as needed to run the business. Photos taken when someone else signs you in can be seen only by Admins and HR. We do not share your data with other companies using the app, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Where it's stored

App data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Storage) and, for financial notifications, transactional email is sent via SendGrid. See "Third-party services" below.

How long we keep it

We keep your app data for as long as your account is active, except photos taken when someone else signs you in, which are deleted automatically after 90 days. If an admin at your company deletes your account, your profile and login are permanently deleted from our systems. Compliance and financial records (such as incident reports and invoices) may be retained for a period after that, where your employer needs them for their own legal or record-keeping obligations.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve our websites, tools, and the ConstructTrackPro app
• Provide site sign-in/out, compliance, incident reporting, and invoicing functionality within the ConstructTrackPro app, on behalf of your employer
• Understand how visitors use our products so we can make them better
• Display advertising through Google AdSense on our free web tools (see section 06)
• Respond to your enquiries and support requests
• Send you product updates or in-app notifications, where applicable
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies & tracking

Our websites use cookies — small text files stored in your browser. We use the following types:

• Essential cookies: Required for our tools to function correctly. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand page views, session duration, and how visitors navigate our sites. We may use Google Analytics for this purpose.
• Advertising cookies: Placed by Google AdSense to show relevant advertisements. These may track your browsing behaviour across other websites.

The ConstructTrackPro app does not show ads or use advertising cookies. Cookies and AdSense apply to our free web tools only.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling advertising cookies will not remove ads — it means the ads you see will be less personalised. For more information on opting out of Google advertising, visit adssettings.google.com.

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our free web tools. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our sites and other websites on the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Affiliate links

Some links on our websites are affiliate links. This means if you click a link and purchase a product or sign up for a service, we may receive a commission — at no extra cost to you.

Our current affiliate partners include:

• ZoogVPN — VPN service
• DoorLoop — Property management software
• Wise — International money transfers (partner link coming soon)
• Revolut — Business banking (partner link coming soon)

Affiliate links are clearly labelled on our sites. We only recommend products and services we believe are genuinely useful. Our editorial opinions are not influenced by affiliate relationships.

When you click an affiliate link, the partner company may collect information about you in accordance with their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use through our links.

Third-party services

Our websites, tools, and the ConstructTrackPro app may use or rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. Please review their privacy policies independently:

• Google LLC — AdSense advertising, Analytics, and Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, and push notifications) which powers the ConstructTrackPro app (Google Privacy Policy)
• SendGrid (Twilio) — sends transactional emails from the ConstructTrackPro app, such as account and invoice notifications (Twilio/SendGrid Privacy Policy)
• Apple App Store / Google Play — if you install the app from an app store, that store's own privacy policy also applies to your download and account there
• ZoogVPN — affiliate partner (ZoogVPN Privacy Policy)
• DoorLoop — affiliate partner (DoorLoop Privacy Policy)
• Google Fonts — web fonts served from Google servers, which may log request data

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from any email communications at any time
• Data portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Object: Object to processing of your data for direct marketing purposes

If you use the ConstructTrackPro app, most of these requests are best made to your employer's admin first, since they manage your account — but you're welcome to contact us directly and we'll help.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@constructtrackpro.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are located in California (USA), you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

• Email addresses collected for updates: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Support enquiry records: retained for up to 2 years
• Analytics data: retained in accordance with Google Analytics default settings (up to 26 months)
• Calculator inputs: not stored on our servers — processed in your browser only
• ConstructTrackPro app accounts: retained while active; permanently deleted (profile and login) when an admin removes your account
• ConstructTrackPro app compliance and invoice records: may be retained after account deletion where your employer has a legal or record-keeping reason to keep them

Children's privacy

Our websites, tools, and the ConstructTrackPro app are not directed at children under the age of 13, and the ConstructTrackPro app is intended for use by employees of construction and trade businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our websites and the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users via a notice on our homepage, in the app, or — where we hold your email address — by email.
